The Land of Short Tempers

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Lord Jesus, the tempers in this world seem to grow shorter and shorter. Any little inconvenience becomes a shouting match. Any minor imposition is considered a violation of rights. This entitled mindset infects our culture at every level. But you, Father, call your people to radiate the antithesis of this. You commission us with the holy privilege of shining as beacons of grace. As we navigate traffic, wait in slow lines, receive wrong orders, and any other instance in which we could justify being put out or put upon, help us actively reflect the character of Christ and display love to those around us. This I ask in your Holy Spirit’s power. Amen.

Colossians 3:12

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
