Holy and Just Savior, I recognize that whether my spirit is afflicted or at peace is at least somewhat determined by my obedience and faith. Only the peace of God is powerful enough to drive out soul-deep suffering, and that peace is found in loving you. Help me keep you always at the forefront of my life, my focus always on your character and perfect will. Walk me through taking responsibility for my defiance and insubordination that I would come to trust and delight in you fully. Amen.
