Jesus, all of scripture points to our need of your saving grace. King David, a titan of faith, found himself disgraced and deposed by his own son, pushed out from his palace and into the wilderness. Twenty-eight generations later, David’s descendant, Jesus, would climb the same Mount of Olives before bringing the ultimate glory to God and salvation to mankind. Whatever the sins, mistakes, and tragedies of our lives, you, through the ministry of Jesus, can redeem us and raise us to glory too. Thank you God, for your patient provision and renewal both now and through the years. Amen.

But David continued up the Mount of Olives, weeping as he went; his head was covered and he was barefoot. All the people with him covered their heads too and were weeping as they went up.
