Hope Deferred, Desire Fulfilled

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Lord, there’s so much I want to experience and achieve, but many of those dreams seem to be perpetually out of reach. I fall into seasons of discouragement as setback after setback widens the distance between me and attaining my desires. But I know that if my primary desire is for you, if my heart is focused on knowing and loving you, I can rest assured that hope will be fulfilled more and more each day. Help me focus on the riches of relationship with you instead of wasting energy on things that might not be your best for me. Amen.

Proverbs 13:12

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
