Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

Lord, children and youths need their physical, mental, and relational needs met, of course, but the care of their characters is also a sacred responsibility. Please give parents and guardians the insight and resources they need to correct attitudes and behaviors in their children that would lead to suffering later. Please also give their wider communities including neighbors, teachers, extended family, and friends the wisdom and love to help support them in training these young ones up in the way they should go so that they may rise into the brilliant futures you have at heart for them. Amen.
1 Kings 1:5-6
Now Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith, put himself forward and said, “I will be king.” So he got chariots and horses ready, with fifty men to run ahead of him. (His father had never interfered with him by asking, “Why do you behave as you do?” He was also very handsome and was born next after Absalom.)
