A Lavish Witness

Take a moment to refresh, refocus, and refine your faith.

God, everything you’ve done toward me, how you relate to and communicate with me is extravagant. The richness and vibrancy of nature bears your artistic signature. The order with which you designed and continue to maintain life in its complexity shouts the attentiveness of your love. You even sacrificed your own life on my behalf. Yet when it comes to others, I often hesitate to jump at the chance of reflecting your nature. Create in me a generous, cheerfully sacrificial heart, Lord, that others would see your lavish heart through me. Amen. 

1 Timothy 6:17-19

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
